ser…
A deeper exploration of movement, practice & self.
Ahangama, Sri Lanka
10–16 January 2027
ser means to be. So that's what we'll do.
I created ser because I wanted the kind of retreat I would want to go on myself: a place to take my practice seriously without taking myself too seriously, a place to be.
our home
The coastal town of Ahangama has a vibrant culture, is a yoga & surf haven, has delicious food and abundant nature. We'll start the new year in the best way possible.
Tucked away amongst rubber trees and tropical greenery, our home for the week is a private boutique villa hidden in Ahangama. Made with natural textures, open spaces and plenty of room to slow down.
Downstairs, there's a saltwater pool for cooling off after practice, shaded outdoor spaces for long conversations and lazy afternoons, and a beautiful open kitchen where we'll share meals together.
a day at ser
There won't be a rigid timetable here. Instead, we'll create a rhythm that gives you enough structure to immerse yourself in practice and enough freedom to enjoy being in Sri Lanka.
MORNING
Wake up slowly, sunrise walk at the beach. Then we move together: rocket or advanced vinyasa class. Afterwards we will enjoy a nourishing breakfast.
MIDDAY
Free time to swim, read, nap, surf, explore, have lunch or simply do absolutely nothing. This part of the day belongs to you.
AFTERNOON
Most days, we will do workshops focusing on skills and drills. Others, we come back together for yin and meditation — slower, quieter, a different kind of moving.
EVENING
We watch the sun go down together, then gather for dinner as the sky changes color.
our food
Food will be a big part of the experience.
You'll be nourished with plant based brunch and dinner each day, with fresh, colorful, satisfying food designed to keep you fueled without weighing you down.
We'll eat together, take our time and make meals part of the retreat.
And because we're in Sri Lanka, there will absolutely be room for plenty of local flavour.
Tell us about any allergies or dietary needs when you sign up, and we'll take care of the rest.
me
I know a lot of you already. But if you're new here — hey, I'm Fili, and I'm really glad you found your way to ser.
I am a Rocket and Vinyasa yoga teacher with a deep passion to make people fall in love with practicing yoga.
Embark on a transformative journey with me! As a dedicated yoga teacher, I've curated an experience that goes beyond traditional practice. If you've ever been part of my classes, you're familiar with my signature "playground time" — where we come together to explore inversions that defy gravity, arm balances, and backbends that open our hearts.
Together, let's uncover the boundless potential that yoga offers — not just in our physical practice, but in our lives.
I can't wait to share this week with you.
